A Magical Cirque Christmas

Farmers Market: Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Date: December 1

Time: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Location: 110 W Main St

The annual Empty Bowls event is a grassroots effort to raise money for our local Grand Prairie Food and Clothing Co-op to help feed needy families in Grand Prairie. Empty Bowls is an international art-and-service project to fight hunger through the creation and sale of hand-made pottery bowls.


Holiday Market at Trunk Stop Gift Shop

Date: December 3 – 7

Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Location:  2170 N. Beltline Rd., the gift shop located inside the Tourist Information Center

Holiday Market with Santa

Date: Every Saturday & Sunday from November 24 to December 23

Location: Traders Village, 2602 Mayfield Road

Kids of all ages can have their photo taken with Santa! Donations for photos go to the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. Get into the spirit of Christmas with thousands of dealers who are selling holiday gifts and more for all tastes and budgets.


Rocking Around the Christmas Tree with Darci Lynne & Friends Live

Date: December 2

Time: 3 p.m.

Location: The Theatre at Grand Prairie, 1001 Performance Parkway

Darci Lynne is the youngest contestant to ever win “America’s Got Talent.” She is a young ventriloquist and definitely someone you don’t want to miss!


Christmas Tree Lighting

Date: December 6

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: City Hall, 317 College Street

Have a very Prairie Christmas in downtown Grand Prairie this December.

The annual tree lighting ceremony will take place at City Hall, and will include choral entertainment from students in the Grand Prairie Independent School District: elementary school ensembles, middle school carolers and high school choirs.

Scrooge! – The Musical – Presented by the Grand Prairie Arts Council

Date: November 30 – December 2, December 7 – 9

The Grand Prairie Arts Council presents Scrooge!, the musical.
